Sharp Auctions begins the auction process with a FREE "in-home"
consultation to determine your specific needs. Once we understand your
needs we will conduct an evaluation of the items you are interested in
selling. This honest and
candid assessment provides the foundation we need to make an informed
decision about the sales strategy format would be the most effective for
your particular situation.
It provides you with an understanding of what you can expect.
No two auctions events are every the same and we do not approach
this process with a cookie cutter attitude
Once Sharp Auctions is hired to conduct an auction, we
begin the task of creating a customized auction that most effectively
promotes your items and produces the highest profit margin.
Our Auction Creation Process
Advertising plan
An advertising planis developed that includes newspaper ads, Craigslist,
auction internet sites, sale bills, our email list, focused email
notifications and customized auction signage.
All of these activities are essential in creating maximum
exposure for the auction.
Item organization
All items to be included in the auction are organized and lotted (as
needed) in the time leading up to the auction date.
Pictures are taken and everything is prepared.
Auction layout
Our team creates a map that provides a visual representation of the
auction flow. This includes
where tables will be set up, furniture displayed, concession area,
parking, the sales ring(s), sound system(s), loading areas and cashier’s
station.
Auction Day
On the day of your auction, our staff arrives early to begin the final
preparations for the auction.
Typically the public preview for the auction begins an hour prior
to the start time. Several announcements are made prior to the start
time to inform everyone of how and where to get their bid numbers.
At the assigned start time the auctioneer welcomes everyone,
provides an explanation of the sales purpose, outlines the auction
rules, and provides accepted forms of payment.
After that... hold on and enjoy the ride because the auction won’t stop until the last item is SOLD!
So whether you are downsizing, handling a loved one’s belongings, or just wanting to turn your treasures into cash – Sharp Auctions will provide you with a professionally managed experience, handled with care and understanding.
